We Believe in Solidarity
Sisters2Sisters began in April 2021, as a social media solidarity campaign for Myanmar.
We started this project in response to reports of torture and sexual violence experienced by those imprisoned in Myanmar.
We are here to raise awareness about the use of excessive force and violence against women, perpetrated by the fascist military in Myanmar/Burma.
Solidarity is for Everyone
We believe solidarity is for everyone. We seek to promote solidarity among sisters fighting oppression in other parts of the world.
We believe the use of digital spaces can be a force for good and can allow freedom of expression for our siblings inside Myanmar, who cannot protest safely under dictatorship.
We work together with other women’s groups in Myanmar to raise the voices of our sisters and to bring international awareness to systemic issues faced by women and LGBTQIA people in Myanmar.

Red Lips Speak Truth to Power - 2022
- To mark the Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence In Conflict, Sisters2Sisters ran a solidarity campaign to raise awareness about impunity culture and the pervasiveness of sexual violence as a weapon.
